Surfer Boy

Charlie and Fleur wanted to learn how to surf while here on the west coast of Mexico.  Thanks to Kathy and Bill's friend, surfer Bob, they had their chance the other day up the coast from Bucerias at a beach called, "Punta del Burro".

Today, the sea was calm here in Bucerias.  Kathy brought Fleur and Charlie over to Rob and Sue's tree house for breakfast.  They talked about how they could both at least stand on the surf board for a second or two, thanks to Bob's guidance.  It was decided to gather on the Bucerias beach around 4 p.m. to have Charlie and Fleur demonstrate their surfing skills.  Bucerias in Banderas Bay doesn't really get giant waves so maybe they could strut their stuff on the baby waves and feel good about their new acquired  surfing skills.

Check them out here on the "one more day" video.

This boy and his wrinkles dog wished they could surf like the Hickeys.

Note:  After the surfing show, Rob and Sue met a couple on the beach walking a baby chihuahua called Carmilita. The man shared an astonishing story about this puppy that happened only yesterday.  His wife had just gone out for a few moments and left the man alone with his new puppy.  He and his wife had rescued this baby chihuahua from the Puerto Vallarta SPCA.  In order to take it back to Canada,  the puppy had to have all the necessary shots with all the necessary legal papers.  The PV SPCA pays all the bills.  It is a great new creative way to do something about the many dogs in Mexico.  Anyway, after his wife left the house, the puppy swallowed a bee.  Within minutes, the dog collapsed and his heart stopped. His bladder stopped working too.  The man was in shock so he decided to give the puppy CPR.  He massaged the puppy's chest and blew air into her mouth.  Within seconds, the dog was back to life feeling fine.  The wife came home and never noticed anything.
